Position Overview: Technician in Medical Diagnostics Manufacturing

The Technician will be part of an assembly team responsible for manufacturing specific chemistries used in the medical diagnostics field. This role plays a crucial part in the healthcare industry, enabling doctors and lab technicians to quickly and accurately diagnose patients worldwide. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow complex instructions to ensure the quality and safety of products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate buffers and reagents, including mixing, pH adjustment, and testing using various equipment such as spectrophotometers and Beckman instruments.
  • Regular use of computers for routine tasks, including data generation, analysis, time reporting, online training, and email communication.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.).
  • Perform calibration and regular maintenance of instruments.
  • Clean and assemble glassware and components used in processing.
  • Follow step-by-step procedures with attention to detail and periodic quality checks.
  • Ensure error-free reagent processing and document procedures accurately.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and peers to foster a productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's (AA) degree or completion of basic chemistry laboratory courses.
  • Preference for candidates with a focus on chemical and/or biological sciences.
  • Knowledge of basic lab techniques such as pH adjustment and buffer preparation is preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience in a GMP/GLP lab environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, written, reading).
  • Experience in government-regulated working environments is highly desirable.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, timekeeping, etc.).
