Job Description:

• It involves a mix of light field work, standard bench chemistry, and administrative tasks. The role supports the Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program (RAMP) and requires an environmental background and computer literacy.

• Travel Details: The manager explained that employees use a company car for field work travel. They drive to various locations, to collect samples. The travel time can be around an hour and a half to an hour and forty-five minutes from the base location at Fort Smallwood.

• Analysis Preparation: Technicians prepare samples for analysis by placing them on radiological detectors. However, they do not perform the actual data analysis; their role is focused on the physical preparation and data entry aspects.
• Entry-Level Candidates: the position is open to entry-level candidates, including recent college graduates with degrees in chemistry, environmental studies, or related sciences. The role offers room for growth within the company.
• Entry-Level Suitability: The position is suitable for entry-level candidates, including recent college graduates. A college degree in chemistry, environmental studies, or related sciences is highly recommended for the role.
• Degree Flexibility: candidates do not necessarily need a chemistry degree. Degrees in any science or environmental studies are acceptable, as the role involves verifying that there is no environmental impact from the plant operations.
• Company Car and Parking: employees will have access to a company car for work-related travel but need their own transportation to and from work. Parking at the facility is free, gated, and includes covered parking under solar panels.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range : $21-$ 22/hr

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
