Laboratory Quality Specialist

Job Summary Manages and directs activities for Atrium Health Navicent market laboratories to include local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies (ex. CAP, DNV) as applicable. Oversees the laboratory Quality Assurance Program for all AHN market laboratories with the direct participation from laboratory managers. Coordinates and reviews quality management records within the Navicent Market Laboratories (AHNMC, AHNPH, AHNBH), oversees and coordinates the document control system in the Laboratory, oversees proficiency testing, performs a variety of laboratory examinations and tests including specialized or experimental procedures assuring rapid and accurate results. Education, Training, and Experience Education: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university to include minimum of 30 quarter hours of lecture science, including at least 15 quarter hours of chemistry, 10 quarter hours of biology, and 5 quarter hours of mathematics (or equivalent semester hours). Special Training/Skills: Must have strong computer knowledge and skills. Must have manual dexterity, must maintain patient confidentiality. Experience: 5 years of experience in general laboratory.
