Job Title:Laboratory Support Technician I

Location: Fremont, CA

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00 to 5:00

Duration: 6 Months


Top 3 Must Have Skills:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Key Responsibilities:

Material Transfer:

  • Efficiently transfer plasticware and lab supplies from the manufacturing warehouse to the laboratories, adhering to established material transfer procedures.
  • Waste Management:
  • Handle and dispose of biohazard and hazardous waste in compliance with OSHA standards.

Lab Maintenance:

  • Maintain tissue culture facilities, including the cleaning of biosafety cabinets, incubators, and general lab areas to ensure optimal conditions.
  • Warehousing and Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of lab reagents and supplies; submit procurement requests as necessary to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
  • Support operations for the warehouse area at our Fremont CMC site.
  • Inventory stocking and distribution of materials., performing shipping and receiving of both GMP and non-GMP materials.
  • Other tasks will be maintaining storage locations and completing receiving inspections, documentation, labelling and transfer of materials received at the site.

Laboratory Operations:

  • Assist with routine laboratory operations as needed, providing comprehensive support to laboratory staff.
  • Maintain and organize laboratory spaces to meet safety and regulatory standards.

Reagent Preparation:

  • Work closely with laboratory staff to troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient workflow within the lab.

Desired Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety and regulatory standards, ability and desire to follow strict gowning requirements for GMP manufacturing laboratories.
  • Ability to handle biohazard and hazardous waste safely.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with inventory management and lab maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand procedures and be able to write entries in controlled area logbooks.
