ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY LABOR & EMPLOYMENT

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join their thriving San Francisco office. Also available in Los Angeles, this is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for a diverse, high-profile client base.




Candidate Profile:


  • JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials(link removed)>



  • Active Bar Admission in California(link removed)>



  • 57 years of substantive employment law experience.




  • Experience with employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class/collective actions, particularly in wage and hour matters.




  • Demonstrated experience drafting motions to compel arbitration, discovery requests/responses, class cert oppositions, long-form settlement agreements, separation agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and PIIAs(link removed)>



  • Courtroom and deposition experience gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm is strongly preferred(link removed)>



  • Experience conducting labor and employment due diligence for M&A deals is advantageous(link removed)>



  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.




  • A proactive mindset with a passion for client collaboration and building a long-term practice.





Key Responsibilities:


  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation in state and federal courts, including class and collective actions.




  • Advise clients on day-to-day employment issues, including compliance, internal investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.




  • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of employment-related documents, including policies, agreements, and litigation materials.




  • Conduct labor and employment due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions.




  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and assist with trial preparation.




  • Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy and legal analysis.

For this position, the firm offers a highly competitive compensation range of $310,000 to $420,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, plus the opportunity to earn bonuses(link removed) Attorneys receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), 401(k) retirement plan, paid parental and personal medical leave, up to ten paid holidays annually, and robust family care.
