This opportunity is presented by Friday Services, the trusted staffing partner for leading law firms, seeking highly qualified legal professionals to propel their growth and expansion.

Are you an experienced employment litigator ready to elevate your practice with a nationally recognized firm? One of our premier Am Law 100 clients is expanding their high-performing Employment Litigation team and is seeking a seasoned Counsel-level Attorney with a strong background in single-plaintiff matters, wage and hour disputes, and PAGA actions.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a top-tier firm that combines the sophistication of national litigation with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, robust resources, and a collaborative, forward-thinking legal environment.

About the Role

As Employment Litigation Counsel, you'll play a lead role in managing complex litigation matters-from initial pleadings to trial. You'll work autonomously while still benefiting from the depth and support of a highly respected national team. If you're passionate about delivering strategic, high-impact results for clients and enjoy taking ownership of your cases, this role is for you.

What You'll Handle:

  • First-chair defense of single-plaintiff claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, reasonable accommodation, and wage/hour issues.
  • Strategic management of PAGA matters and class action litigation.
  • Leading all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial prep, and more.
  • Employment counseling and compliance guidance under both state and federal law.
  • Direct interaction with sophisticated clients and corporate stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 9-12 years of hands-on employment litigation experience.
  • Strong trial skills and comfort managing cases independently from inception to resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience with PAGA, wage/hour, and class claims.
  • Skilled in deposition strategy and execution-plaintiffs and corporate reps alike.
  • A partial book of business is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Why You'll Love This Role:

  • Work with a nationally recognized litigation team with a commitment to excellence and innovation.
  • Hybrid work schedule offering flexibility and balance.
  • Competitive compensation, including a discretionary annual bonus.
  • Robust benefits: health, dental, vision, STD/LTD, 401(k).
  • A collegial and collaborative culture that values professional development and autonomy.
