About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to handle employment litigation defense matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination claims, PAGA class actions, and wage and hour disputes. This role requires strong trial advocacy, legal strategy development, and client advisory expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation & Case Management

Represent employers in labor and employment litigation, primarily on the defense side.
Handle cases involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, PAGA class actions, and wage and hour disputes.
Develop legal strategies and defense approaches for complex employment cases.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Participate in depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trials.
Advise clients on compliance with employment laws, workplace policies, and risk management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

5 to 15 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
Extensive experience handling wrongful termination, discrimination, and PAGA class actions.
Strong legal research, writing, and trial advocacy skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Defense litigation background in employment law preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced legal environment.
Strong client communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated career stability candidates with frequent job changes or numerous contract attorney roles may not be considered.
