An AmLaw Top 50 firm is seeking an experienced associate to join the Labor, Employment and Workplace Safety practice in their dynamic Los Angeles, California office. This firm is recognized as one of the largest global law firms serving a diverse range of clients, with almost 2,000 attorneys in 40 offices around the world.
About the role:
The candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing employment policies and related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, and separation agreements. They will also handle labor and employment issues in business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions. The firm's Labor, Employment, and Workplace safety practice provides counsel to a diverse range of employers, from large multinational corporations to smaller, single-site companies. Clients span various industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, retail, banking, manufacturing, broadcasting, construction, mining, energy, financial services, healthcare, and government.
Qualifications:
- Four to seven years years of litigation experience on a wide range of employment issues including wage & hour and single plaintiff discrimination/harassment matters.
- Prior experience with traditional labor relations is a plus but not required.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Admitted to practice in California.
- JD from accredited law school.
Candidates living outside of Los Angeles will be considered if admitted to the CA Bar.
