Job DetailsRole Description
We are looking for an associate attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic and modern legal team in our Employment department. We're seeking a top-tier candidate with a stellar academic background and a drive to shape the future of civil rights law. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the supervising attorney on initial pre-filing case work-up
- Engage in client meetings, ensuring effective communication
- Draft complaints with precision and attention to detail
- Skillfully handle discovery by propounding and responding to inquiries
- Take and defend depositions confidently and adeptly
- Conduct thorough case-related investigations
- Contribute to law and motion work
- Assist with trial preparation
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment law
- Experience in employment litigation
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting motions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
