Schedule Weekly Hours: 8 Gundersen Health System is seeking individuals who have an interest in working in a laboratory setting to join our Microbiology team as a part time Lab Prep Technician providing coverage on Saturdays from 7a to 3:30p. What You'll Do: As a Lab Prep Technician, you will facilitate efficient workflow processes within Microbiology with a focus on cultivating and managing infectious strains of microbe specimens, preparing culture media, assisting with performing culture media testing and sterility, maintaining equipment and appropriate inventory for testing, entering data into the computer system, ordering supplies, and stocking the work area. You will execute microbiological monitoring following FDA regulatory guidelines and company procedures and assist in CLIA certification preparation for the laboratory.
