The Fine Dining Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing professional, friendly, courteous service of food and beverage to every guest. Position requires ability to interact with the public, speak English clearly, retain details, physical exertion in the form of walking, standing, turning, bending, and lifting while carrying a large tray. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Report to work on time, well-groomed in full uniform with badge on upper left side of uniform.
2. Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage to all our guests.
3. Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with all guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language.
4. Maintain full knowledge of menu, wine list, and daily features.

6. Have a strong understanding of the philosophy and goals associated with a fine dining server and be supportive of them at all times.
7. Be knowledgeable of the standards of American Service in a fine dining restaurant as well as proper wine service.
8. Greet all guests within one minute in a friendly and courteous manner.
9. Serve and clear tables, brush crumbs from tables, replenish beverages as needed.
10. Inquire about guest satisfaction within one to two minutes of main course being served.
11. Be familiar with all check and cashiering procedures: hold the check until it is requested, present check, cash out check within 4 minutes.
12. Mentally record guest reactions to the service, food, comfort and atmosphere of the dining room. This information has value. Remarks made to a server, or within their hearing; should be written down and given to the management. A guest's praise should be sent along as well as complaints.
13. Always maintain attentive posture nearby, make eye contact, smile, and have a discreet non-interruptive demeanor.
14. Perform any duties assigned by the manager or shift manager.
15. Assist all employees in performing their duties whenever required and work as one team.
16. Work in a designated area, be attentive to guests at all times and exceed guest's expectations.
17. Adhere to all policies and procedures pertaining to liquor laws.
18. Be knowledgeable of Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel's history as well as the map of the property, location of restrooms and telephones, and hours of operation of stores and restaurants and be able to efficiently handle guest's inquiries.
19. Complete designated opening and closing side work daily and check with manager or shift manager before clocking out.
20. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
21. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
22. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
23. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
24. Attend all necessary meetings.
25. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
1. Review all information posted in designated area, including stations, upcoming events, and 86 board, etc.
2. Review log book upon start of work shift to identify special table set-up, cover counts, VIP reservations, special guests, and large parties.
3. Maintain a neat and organized work station.
4. Keep wait stations clean, organized and stocked.
5. Pre-bus all tables.
6. Responsible for general upkeep of restaurant. (i.e.: Pick up debris or litter from floors, sweep when needed, etc.)
7. Follow weekly designated side work duties.
8. Visit all tables during service to insure guest satisfaction.
9. Upon departure, assist guests with coats and chairs, thank them, and invite them to return.
10. Follow all tip-out procedures according to standards (i.e.: bartenders, bus person, wine host, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Characteristics:
1. Must have an outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful, accommodating disposition.
2. Must remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment.
3. Be organized and utilize time well.
4. Must be a team player.

Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
3. Customer service and at least three (3) years of fine dining server experience preferred.
4. Proficient in large tray service.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
3. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

1. Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the dining room for a lengthy period of time.
2. Must be able to carry trays which may weigh up to fifty (50) pounds.
3. Must be able to assist with special needs of customers. (i.e.: helping the elderly from their chair, assisting with coats, pulling out chairs for the guests, etc.
4. Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community if all situations.

Other:
1. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Seneca Nation license.
2. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
3. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
4. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

Salary Starting Rate:
$10.35
Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
