Kitchen Helper Job Description Position Overview: The Kitchen Helper is an integral part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation of food items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role requires a strong commitment to hygiene and food safety standards. Responsibilities: Assist chefs and cooks in preparing food ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing. Perform basic cooking duties, such as preparing simple dishes, and frying. Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and sanitation regulations. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and ensure they are stored appropriately. Dispose of waste and recyclables properly. Monitor inventory and report any shortages of kitchen supplies to the kitchen manager. Help in the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of supplies and groceries. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. Requirements: Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper, Dishwasher, or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the pace of a busy kitchen. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. culinary training is a plus. Training Provides
