Job Description:
Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all kitchen and refrigeration equipment for the School Nutrition Department. Support the safe preparation and storage of food by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and compliance standards. Collaborate with staff and vendors to minimize disruptions to the food service operation and ensure timely resolution to equipment issues.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas Driver's License and MVR driving record check
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and organization skills for managing repairs and maintenance tasks
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with staff and vendors
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, gauges, and testing equipment for repairs
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years successful experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems preferred
