Position Overview

Join our dynamic team in the Fernandina Beach region as a Project Accountant and play a pivotal role in managing the financial lifecycle of our construction projects. You'll be instrumental in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting by meticulously tracking revenue and expenses at the job level. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to our operational success and collaborate with a dedicated finance team.


Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will support KeyServ operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and communicate directly with customers regarding project-related financial matters (e.g., billing, change orders), proactively ensuring jobs stay on track financially.
  • Accurately record and classify financial transactions to individual projects, providing critical insights into job profitability.
  • Manage credit card transactions and support month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Assist with financial and insurance audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Proactively respond to accounting-related inquiries and provide necessary financial data.
  • Maintain organized financial records and enter journal entries as needed.
  • Support sales/use tax filings and assist with licensing/registrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting AND 2+ years of experience in a project-based industry (e.g., construction, design, commercial services).
  • Must possess advanced Excel skills and be a proficient user of both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace apps.
  • Experienced QuickBooks user with exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Acumatica, NetSuite, Sage, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced growth environment and identify information and/or resources needed to complete assignments.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively build and manage relationships with colleagues, customers, and business leaders.

Competitive Annual Salary: Enjoy a base salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000, recognizing and rewarding your level of experience and expertise.


Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary and is based on how the company performs to Plan.
