Job Description/ Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kafka Support Lead. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Kafka development and administration and support, coupled with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot and microservices. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud platforms and familiarity with various monitoring and ticketing tools. The Kafka Support Lead will be instrumental in integrating and supporting our applications, ensuring seamless coordination between onshore and offshore teams. Need Kafka Admin Support Lead having Development/Architecture expertise as well with Java/Microservice experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Lead Role:
o Design and implement robust integration solutions using Kafka to streamline data flow and enhance system interoperability.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Kafka Development and Administration:
o Develop, manage, and administer Kafka clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
o Implement best practices for Kafka configuration, tuning, and security to maintain optimal system health.

• Java Spring Boot Microservices:
o Develop and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and reliable.
o Integrate microservices with Kafka to enable real-time data processing and event-driven architecture.

• Application Support and Troubleshooting:
o Provide comprehensive support for Kafka and microservices, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
o Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address potential problems.

• Cloud Platform Understanding:
o Utilize cloud services to deploy, manage, and optimize Kafka and related applications.
o Leverage cloud capabilities to enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of our Kafka infrastructure.

• Model Queue or Service Bus Understanding:
o Understanding and familiarity with message queues or service bus technologies to ensure efficient message delivery and processing.

• Monitoring Tools and Splunk:
o Implement and use monitoring tools, including Splunk, to ensure system health, performance, and security.
o Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, optimize performance, and prevent potential issues.

• Ticketing Tools Knowledge:
o Utilize ticketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow for issue tracking, documentation, and collaboration.
o Ensure timely resolution of tickets and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.

• Onshore-Offshore Coordination:
o Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
o Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between geographically dispersed teams.

• Multiple Team Coordination:
o Collaborate with various teams, including development, operations, and support, to achieve project goals and deliverables.
o Foster a collaborative environment to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

• Migrating Existing Integrations to Kafka:
o Plan and execute the migration of existing integration solutions to Kafka, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
o Develop migration strategies, timelines, and risk mitigation plans to ensure a smooth transition.

• Designing New Integrations:
o Architect and design new integration solutions using Kafka to meet business requirements and enhance system capabilities.
o Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve integration solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Kafka, Java Spring Boot, microservices.

• Proven 7+ experience as a Kafka Architect (Confluent Kafka) or similar role with strong proficiency in Kafka development and administration and support.

• Extensive 7+ years of experience with Java Spring Boot, microservices.

• Ability to demonstrate application integration architecture and design scalable robust solution.

• Ability to guide team through any technical challenge and guide to follow best in class industry standard and guidelines.

• Review solutions, recommend fixes and identify key challenges and remediate the same.

• Represent team in any critical meetings, weekly and monthly status meetings with customers and key stake holders.

• Solid understanding of cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with model queue or service bus technologies.

• Proficient in using monitoring tools like Splunk.

• Experience with ticketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with onshore and offshore teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Kafka or Cloud related technologies is appreciated.

• Experience in a similar industry or domain.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
