We are currently looking for a Full Time Juvenile Probation Officer I to join our Juvenile Probation team located at the 1500 Hoppe working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

This position will provide case management to the juvenile probation office.

Responsibilities:
Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
Meet with and interview probationers, juveniles, parents, schools, etc. and/or their families to assess progress
Prepare reports to the Court, attend Court hearings and furnish testimony when needed
Make referrals to appropriate agencies and provide crisis intervention
Receive referrals from the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department, cross-commissioned law enforcement agencies, the Chickasaw Nation District Court, and other agencies regarding alleged Native juvenile delinquents and their families in need of assistance
Make initial assessments and conduct probation intake with juveniles and/or their families
Investigate juvenile referrals and formulate appropriate treatment plans
Assist with finding suitable facilities to address the needs of juveniles
Assist with facilitating the transport of juveniles to and from detention and/or treatment facilities
Act as court liaison
Coordinate community service for juveniles
Monitor, supervise and report on cases involving probationers
Monitor payment of financial obligations ordered by the Court.
Conduct periodic screening for drug and alcohol use by juveniles under supervision.
Performs all other duties as assigned
