Senior Resident Network Engineer/Consultant
Clearance requirement: MUST HAVE: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Location: DC, VA, MD - site visits to the client in DC
Requirements: - Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Location: Remote work location available with expectation for frequent onsite visits
- Highly technical role providing pre/post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within the customer infrastructure.
- The candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP service provider networks and demonstratable technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting, and operation of IP-based routers, switches, and security devices.
- Security+ certification is required. CASP or CISSP would work.
- Juniper products to be supported: MX, EX, QFX, SRX
Qualifications - 10+ years of deep understanding of routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, MPLS.
- Expert knowledge of L2 and L3 multicast deployments.
- Support routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records.
- Configure and test hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- Expertise in the evaluation of new network technologies and makes recommendations to the network architecture team regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.
- Ensures that plans for hardware and communications are adequate.
- Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of LAN and WAN networks.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
- Support operations and maintain activities and administer networks including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Perform long-term O&M activities to include tier 3 troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.
- Prepare troubleshooting procedures for restoring the network to optimal performance levels.
- Assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.
- Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE a plus

Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $150,000 - $195,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
