Cisco Unified Collaboration Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role, located at
MacDill AFB, FL, is vital in supporting communications for the Department of Defense (DoD) by ensuring seamless voice, video, and unified communications solutions in a secure, mission-critical environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Unity Connection, Expressway, and related technologies to support our warfighters in maintaining operational continuity.
Your Contributions: - Design, deploy, and manage comprehensive Cisco Unified Communications (UC) systems including CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco IM & Presence, CMS, and Expressway C/E.
- Configure and maintain SIP trunks, H.323 gateways, SRST, CUBE, and MGCP for effective integration with DISA or tactical voice networks.
- Manage and optimize dial plans, route patterns, translation rules, and device pools to facilitate secure communications.
- Administer and troubleshoot collaboration endpoints, Jabber clients, TFTP services, and user provisioning through LDAP integration.
- Conduct necessary patching, upgrades, and ensure STIG compliance for all collaboration platforms to meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Assist in VTC operations, providing scheduling, endpoint support, and bridging via CMS or hardware MCUs.
- Integrate collaboration services with Active Directory, PKI/certificate authorities, and DNS, assuring secure authentication and service delivery.
- Provide Tier III support and mentor junior teammates in UC technologies.
- Engage in exercises and mission planning to align collaboration capabilities with MARCENT operational needs.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience, certifications, or training may substitute for a degree.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI after hire.
- Cyber Work Force Role Code 451 (e.g., Security+ CE) or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications in DoD, government, or enterprise environments.
- Experience with DoD UC compliance efforts including STIG implementation, ACAS scans, and RMF documentation.
- Proficient in Cisco IOS, VoIP call flow troubleshooting, and SIP/H.323 protocol analysis.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies and related configurations.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration.
- Extensive experience deploying virtualization technologies such as Microsoft's Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, and others.
- Knowledge of firewalls and their services/security.
