Brooksource is looking for an entry-level Software Developer to join our Public Sector client in July 2025. As an Entry-Level Software Developer, you will contribute to both day-to-day operational support and strategic modernization efforts. You will work on resolving user-submitted tickets, assist with content updates, and participate in external-facing projects. You'll also gain exposure to enterprise architecture modernization efforts using microservices, cloud technologies, and .NET Core.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and software methodologies including object-oriented design methodologies.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with .NET Framework, C , ASP.NET, MVC
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and cybersecurity fundamentals are a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude, drive, and a passion for learning
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage support tickets daily through ServiceNow, including access issues and static page updates
- Contribute to communication and content updates on public-facing websites
- Participate in cloud modernization initiatives using microservices and .NET Core
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and senior developers on small-scale projects
- Follow best practices related to secure coding, accessibility, and quality assurance
- Document work and contribute to continuous improvement of technical and business processes
