Junior Security Training Consultant with Security Clearance

Blu Omega is a trusted technology consultancy focused on delivering innovative, secure solutions for federal agencies. Our Cybersecurity Practice is growing, and we're seeking a Junior Security Training Consultant to join our team supporting a high-priority DHS program. As a Junior Security Training Consultant, you'll support IT security training initiatives for government personnel, ensuring all users meet required cybersecurity standards. You'll work closely with the IT Security Operations Team, helping manage training, reporting, and compliance efforts. Candidates must have an Active TS level clearance for this role with the ability to work onsite in Washington, DC. Responsibilities: Assist with daily IT security operations, including account requests, file transfers, and decommissioning guidance
Support the delivery of IT security training, including Security Awareness, Removable Media, and Specialized Training
Prepare milestone status reports and presentations for colleagues and end users
Maintain records of incidents and remediation activities in line with government policies
Track, report, and analyze training progress, producing weekly and quarterly reports
Develop and update interactive and classroom training materials for government personnel
Assist in automating training processes via the Performance and Learning Management System (PALMS)
Provide logistical support for on-site training sessions (2-3 per year)
Prepare briefing materials for senior leadership, highlighting key IT security issues and policies Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience
Experience developing and delivering IT security training programs
Exposure to cybersecurity concepts and incident response
Active Top Secret clearance
Proficient with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and training tools
Strong communication skills with experience presenting complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
