Reporting to the Manager, Salesforce Operations & Administration, the Junior Salesforce Administrator will support, maintain, and enhance the Salesforce platform by responding to user requests, performing configuration tasks, managing data quality, and assisting with training and adoption. The Junior Salesforce Administrator will perform declarative configurations like building fields and Flows, manage user access, support data integrity efforts, and assist with user training and platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate will be a certified Salesforce Administrator with experience (including internships or volunteer work) supporting a Salesforce environment, preferably in a nonprofit setting. They should demonstrate strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, the ability to perform general Salesforce configuration tasks independently, basic Flow-building knowledge, proficiency with Google Workspace tools, and a natural curiosity and motivation to learn and solve problems.

This is a contract, remote position

Responsibilities
  • Respond to internal support requests and resolve issues related to Salesforce configuration and functionality.
  • Perform declarative configuration tasks such as creating fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and list views.
  • Build and modify Flows with guidance when necessary.
  • Assist with the rollout of new features and enhancements within our Salesforce instance.
  • Maintain user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Provide support and training to end users, helping improve adoption and system usability.
  • Support periodic data clean-up and data integrity initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects and organizational initiatives on an as-needed basis.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards (not a primary responsibility but helpful as needed).
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Salesforce Administrator Certified
  • Previous experience working in a Salesforce environment preferred
  • Ability to perform general Salesforce configuration tasks independently
  • Understanding of Salesforce Flows (can build basic flows and troubleshoot with guidance)
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Natural curiosity, self-motivation, and a love for solving problems and learning new things
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple project and initiatives at one time
  • Familiarity with the military veteran community is preferred, but not required
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • General office environment; temperature controlled
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment, e.g. copiers, phones, computers
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
Contract Rate: $26 per hour, not exceeding 80 hours per month
