Qualifications: The Junior Network Admin will primarily focus on supporting, administering, and optimizing the network infrastructure (80%) with a minor role in managing associated cloud infrastructure (20%). Job Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems, including basic cloud network components.
- Support in installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining network infrastructure devices including Cisco switches, routers, and other foundational network devices.
- Monitor the network for integrity, security, and optimal performance under guidance.
- Help maintain essential network services under supervision.
- Assist in designing and deploying small-scale data center and cloud network deployments.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers and IT teams on basic network and cloud integrations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment under supervision.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications: - CCNA in Routing and Switching (REQUIRED or must get within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of cloud principles.
- Fundamental knowledge of Cisco router and switch configurations.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related field or equivalent relevant experience is a plus.
- Entry-level experience of 0-2 years or academic exposure to network administration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS is beneficial.
- Interest in learning cloud network management tools like Terraform.
- A foundational understanding of network and cloud security protocols is advantageous.
