Key Responsibilities
EHR & API Integration:
Develop and integrate FHIR, HL7, and RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange with EHR/EMR systems such as Athenahealth, Elation Health, Atlas.md, and Allscripts.
Implement secure authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SMART on FHIR) for healthcare applications.
Work with FHIR servers (Google Cloud Healthcare API, HAPI FHIR, etc.) to manage patient data.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data security regulations.
Backend Development & API Management:
Build scalable APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django REST Framework).
Develop microservices-based architectures deployed on GCP Cloud Run, App Engine, or Kubernetes (GKE).
Implement database models using PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore, or MongoDB.
Optimize API performance, error handling, and logging with Google Stackdriver & Pub/Sub.
Python Data Analysis & Healthcare Analytics:
Process, clean, and analyze structured & unstructured medical data using Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
Work with Google BigQuery & Cloud Dataflow to perform large-scale healthcare analytics.
Build predictive models for patient insights, risk scoring, or operational efficiency.
Implement ETL pipelines to move and transform healthcare data efficiently.
Cloud Computing & DevOps (GCP):
Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes (GKE), App Engine.
Automate CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Utilize Cloud Logging & Monitoring to track API performance and uptime.
Work with Google Cloud Healthcare API & FHIR Data Stores to manage patient records securely.
Skills & Qualifications:
Programming: Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django), JavaScript (Node.js).
APIs & Integration: RESTful APIs, FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR, gRPC, WebSockets.
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firestore, MongoDB, BigQuery.
Cloud Services: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub.
DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Cloud Build.
Security: OAuth2, JWT, HIPAA-compliant data handling.
Healthcare Tech: Experience integrating with EHRs such as Athenahealth, Elation Health, Atlas.md, and Allscripts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of FHIR data structures and clinical workflows.
Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare (predictive analytics, NLP for medical data, etc.).
GCP Certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Data Engineer).
