Position - Fluid System Engineering Service
Location - Aztec West, Bristol
Travel - 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote

The Fluid Systems Engineer supports activities within the Fluid Systems team, including:
- Producing, reviewing, and updating system documentation related to mechanical and thermo-hydraulic design, operator instructions, human-machine interface, safety, environmental considerations, and control logic, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and quality processes.
- Analyzing instrumentation and control (I&C) requirements, including writing functional requirements, detailed functional diagrams, FTP specifications, analyzing FTP results, and developing alarm sheets and operating images.
- Mechanical design tasks such as sizing components (pumps, pipework, relief valves, tanks), performing thermal-hydraulic calculations, and ensuring 3D model consistency with system design.
- Formulating equipment specifications, supporting procurement with technical documentation, and technical surveillance of suppliers.
- Analyzing data, requirements, and lessons learned from other nuclear plants, engaging with stakeholders to ensure system delivery meets multidisciplinary requirements, and contributing to best practices and process improvements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of process engineering experience
- Relevant experience in the nuclear industry
- Ability to manage workload effectively, produce high-quality documentation, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Proactive communication, especially with remote teams in France and Germany
- Ability to foster positive working relationships and seek continuous improvement
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of EPR system design principles, I&C architecture, and safety classification
- Experience working on operational plants or industrial sites
- Ability to read and write technical documents in French
