Project Details:Role:Junior ProgrammerLocation:RemoteTravel: The position may require occasional travel to Washington, DC.Duration:6+ months/longtermType:ContractInterview Criteria: Telephonic + Skype Job Description: Responsibilities: Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C . Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards. Collaborate with senior programmers and project managers to meet project goals, including the extraction and standardization of data from Federal Presentence Investigation Reports (PSRs Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and bugs. Utilize tools and technologies such as Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for text mining and data extraction tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 0-2 years of experience in programming or software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C , or similar. Basic understanding of software development methodologies and life cycles. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
