Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, MRO items, packaging, and equipment parts to support manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Automation teams to understand requirements and delivery timelines, so that purchases are aligned with demand forecasts and optimized inventory turns.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through the ERP system, Epicor Prophet 21, ensuring on-time delivery and proper documentation.
- Track orders, resolve delivery or quality issues, and maintain supplier communication.
- Assist in vendor onboarding, monitor performance, and identify supply risks.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing updates, and item master data.
- Support sourcing efforts in line with company sustainability initiatives and industry compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives and spend tracking to support Company goals.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in a purchasing or procurement role; experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (i.e., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with use of ERP software to manage purchasing processes; experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
