CGC NYC is looking for a brilliant and visionary Junior Account Manager to join its starting team and support with day-to-day client liaison and press office across clients. Responsible for managing their portfolio of client accounts, delivering a creative and strategic approach across digital, influencer, press, events & partnerships.
CGC is a modern brand building communications agency, spanning Brand Communications, Influencer and Talent representation, with offices in London and New York. CGC represents the Global leading power brands & Talent within the beauty industry.
CGC's desirable client roster in London includes Hermès parfum & beauty, Augustinus Bader, Victoria Beckham Beauty, Glossier, Summer Fridays, Diptyque, Trudon, OUAI, Westman Atelier. The CGC NYC roster includes Anastasia Beverly Hills, Sarah Creal Beauty, r.e.m. beauty, SLIP, Westman Atelier, MUTHA and Summer Fridays.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with at least 3 years agency/ In-house experience in the beauty industry. Understanding and experience of the influencer landscape is recommended. CGC NYC has a hybrid work model and works out of the NYC office 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day account management on a prestige client portfolio with strong client relation and client management skills
- Execute clients communications strategy and key campaigns to include digital, social and print media. Implement and manage the PR calendar to support all launch initiatives
- Strong media & influencer relationships allowing regular and successful media outreach and cultivating relationships
- Excellent pitching skills that result in converting editorial for your brands
- Proactively pitching new ideas to clients - strong concepts aligned with overall strategy Leading client meetings alongside the team, ensuring status updates are delivered in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Manage organic influencer relations database opt in outreach nano, micro, macro, KOL influencer campaigns with relevant converting partners

- Understanding of social media landscape & able to play a part in influencer partnership manager (supported and working alongside Senior Influencer Manager across your portfolio)
- Ownership of thorough press, MUA / KOL /celebrity and influencer database for your clients making sure we are inclusive and diverse in our reach - bridging new ideas and talent
- Secure qualitative print and digital press coverage and social across all digital, print and social platforms
- Identify meaningful opportunities collaborations & partnerships for your client accounts
- Ideation and execution of creative mailings (creative direction and vendor sourcing - as needed, media and influencer lists) bring new ideas and creativity to the team
- Produce creative and engaging written press materials/ newsletters and content for clients
- Participate in creative brainstorming and client strategy meetings
- Build relationships with retailers to ensure maximum exposure on new launches and brand pillars on all retailer digital and social platforms
- Experience in planning and execute all US press launch events for clients and ensure strong print, digital and social influencer attendance, manage all details, logistics, and budget
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the products, their background and their positioning in the brand
- Daily use of Cision to maintain weekly and monthly progress reports, working with coordinator/intern across all clients
- Know and understand the use of media analysis and coverage reporting, provide comprehensive reports for clients to show activity and growth
- Monitor client KPI's and year on year coverage figures, feeding back to senior team with updates and solutions if needed
- Go beyond beauty - Cultivate VIP relationships from celebrity, makeup artists, fashion designers, stylists, other like-minded and aspirational brands etc.
- Build seeding programs to drive awareness and build advocacy
- Connect brands with like-minded brands and individuals if relevant, with collaborations, partnerships etc in mind
- Ensure your brands are entered into leading and credible industry awards
- Support new product launches, our always-on strategy and brand initiatives when required
- Demonstrate ability to show initiative and to work independently and also within a team
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ensure that our CGC reputation is upheld in every way, from word-of-mouth to presentation of product and brand
- Take an interest in trends and insights that can benefit the client and agency
- A true passion and love for all things beauty, social and PR
The ideal candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in the beauty industry, agency experience preferred
- Ambitious, energetic, self-starter
- Highly organized, self-motivated
- Strong communications skills, written and verbally
- Creative and proactive, can do attitude team player
- Foundational media contacts in the beauty industry
- Good working knowledge and interest in social media and influencers
- Experience in the beauty, wellness landscape
- Exceptional knowledge of the ever-changing media landscape
- The ability to work to and set clear KPIs
- An understanding of affiliate marketing for media
Technical know-how and qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, CANVA, PowerPoint, Cision, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Teams/Zoom/Google Meets
