Jr Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

Overview i3 is seeking a Jr. Systems Administrator who will serve as the first line of communication for users, will ensure that end-users have a smooth and efficient experience with technology tools by addressing Tier 0 and 1 desktop support, and will use technical experience, effective communication, and a customer-focused mindset to assist team members via phone, e-mail, virtual, and in-person. Responsibilities Engage with other IT team members to ensure that services meet operations requirements for internal and external clients. Collaborate with team members on future direction and opportunities for new technology. Build relationships with outside vendors and external customers for IT related products and services. Evaluate, implement, and provide support for third-party software systems in a client-server environment. Ensure that system performance/state is monitored; analyze and evaluate identified issues, trends, and problem areas; ensure issues are handled appropriately through effective support processes. Ensure operational support documentation is complete and accurate. Receive and respond to escalated/advanced service requests from customers. Comply with standard company policies and procedures. Work effectively on team projects, communicating properly and providing status. Recognize necessary improvements and make suggestions. Qualifications Associate degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Additional experience may substitute for degree. 0-3 years of relevant experience. CompTIA Security+ CE. Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. Knowledge of networking fundamentals. Ability to train and mentor other members of the team. Knowledge of virtualization fundamentals. Ability to remediate and troubleshoot issues.
