Description

At , we're looking for creative, driven individuals for a 6-month, unpaid remote Social Media Editor & Manager Internship.

This flexible remote role requires strong time management and self-discipline, and may include occasional company or industry events.

Interns will curate 3-7 engaging posts daily using trending topics or repurposed content from our site and YouTube. Our Sr. Social Media Managers and Creative Director assist with sourcing content, while you'll also learn content strategy and trend-spotting skills.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, quick learners with strong research and storytelling abilities. All posts are reviewed by senior editors, offering real-world experience and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Curate and draft compelling social media posts using existing articles, video content, and trending topics across platforms.

Trend Sourcing: Collaborate with senior team members to identify trending content and apply those findings to daily social media output.

Platform Management: Help organize and schedule content within social media management tools to maintain a consistent posting cadence.

Creative Support: Assist with graphic design and video editing for social posts using Canva.

Pitch Ideas: Regularly brainstorm and pitch fresh, platform-specific content ideas to enhance engagement and brand visibility.

Learning Opportunity: Gain hands-on experience in content strategy, trend tracking, and voice development while staying current with industry trends.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in content curation and social media management within an entertainment and lifestyle publication.
  • Intermediate proficiency with various social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging and innovative content.
  • Proficient in graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
  • Available to commit to and complete a 6-month internship.
  • Attendance to weekly mandatory Monday Meeting
  • Responsiveness in the communication channels
  • Strong knowledge of pop culture, entertainment, and lifestyle, or a willingness to learn.
  • Able to follow directions effectively.
