Junior Production Engineer
Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity for an entry-level engineer to join a growing manufacturing and distribution operation. This position is designed as a two-year mentorship under a Senior Production Manager. The Junior Production Engineer will be involved in designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving production efficiency, ensuring high product quality, and minimizing operational costs.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, collaborative environment and be eager to contribute to cross-functional teams while gaining valuable shop-floor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
Design and implement improved manufacturing workflows and modifications.
Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
Partner with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate production output and quality.
Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
Investigate production issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
Train production staff on new processes, technologies, and equipment.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis for process changes and equipment upgrades.
Prepare technical documentation, process flowcharts, and improvement reports.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices.
Support production and engineering teams in resolving quality concerns.

Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
