  • Good Communication skills (role requires interaction with senior managers); Can work and make decisions independently under manager direction.
  • daily routine tasks include - report production, data analysis, responding to adhoc requests from LOBs, Senior Managers

Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial reports in compliance with US GAAP, SEC and other financial reporting requirements. Prepare required supporting schedules and documents and assess financial reporting information received from other functional areas and service providers. Draft financial statement footnotes. Assist in implementation and compliance with new and proposed accounting and reporting standards. Complete account reconciliations on complex areas of accounting.


Additional Skills:

Excel proficiency, experience in Tableau and other reporting software will be an added advantage.


Job Description

Risk Reporting & Middle Office (RRMO), a group within Corporate Risk is responsible for reporting and analysis to internal Risk Management and to Regulators; monitoring controls and the quality of risk data and is accountable for the management and execution of key reporting projects. Examples of the group's work include the preparation of periodic overviews of Firmwide Value at Risk (VaR), Volcker, Single Name Position Risk (SNPR) and Economic Stress Test results for the Firm's Board of Directors. Producing daily, weekly & monthly risk/ financial overview reports which are used by the Firm's most senior management to monitor risk profiles. Reporting the Firm's external disclosures includes quarterly Press Release, and Form 10-Q/10-K filings. The group also has project management responsibilities for major projects within and outside the group.

This role is part of the RRMO group and lies specifically within the Market Risk Reporting team in the NA region. It is an ideal opportunity for someone keen, enthusiastic, and curious to learn or expand knowledge of market risk management and reporting technologies in one of the leading global financial services firms. As an Analyst within the Market Risk Reporting team, you are expected to manage below responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Report Production and Development
  • Production of periodic Market Risk reports and metrics, including regulatory reporting
  • Proactively identifying control gaps and improve controls as well as resolve issues.
  • Contribute to identifying and executing on opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Contribute to developing new reports or metrics to meet internal or external requirements.
  • Support the control processes through periodic review of the reports and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with cross functional teams and lines of business, mainly Market Risk Coverage, Product Controllers, Technology, Compliance and Audit to collaborate on report production, data testing, and projects.
  • Contribute to the implementation of key business decisions and change efforts.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of executive management and peers.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in reporting, financial analytics, or similar roles
  • Require an individual with strong analytical skills.
  • Keen attention to details and self-review work
  • Ability to multitask, think independently and make continuous progress towards meeting business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance/Business
  • Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, COGNOS and Alteryx will be an added advantage.
