Jr. Electro-Optical Test Engineer (Secret/Interim) with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Electro-Optical Test Engineer to support the test and evaluation of electro-optical sensors in a laboratory environment at the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, D.C. This role involves hands-on testing, data collection, and software development to support sensor performance analysis and lab capability upgrades. Contract Length: Program is 5 years long and is in year 1 Location: NRL - Washington, D.C - Hybrid Remote Key Responsibilities: Execute test plans and collect data from electro-optical sensors (visible or infrared). Develop and present test reports based on collected data. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment. Assist in upgrading laboratory testing capabilities. Write and maintain data acquisition and processing software using Python and MATLAB. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. At least 2 years of relevant experience. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance. Experience testing electro-optical sensors. Ability to conduct hands-on testing and data collection with minimal supervision. Proficiency in software programming for test automation and data processing (Python and MATLAB preferred).
