Jr Data Analyst with Security Clearance

ASRC Federal NetCentric is looking Data Analyst junior position supporting the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services Administrative and Program Support Services, in Bren Mar, Virginia. This will be an on-site position. JOB DESCRIPTION: FPS East Zone has developed a dashboard for monitoring law enforcement and resource management key performance indicators using Power BI. Using Power BI and any replacement data visualize the government should move to, this analyst will maintain and develop the dashboard in order to enable the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems in the East Zone. JOB DUTIES: Specific duties include but are not limited to: 1. Evaluate working effectiveness and suitability of FPS programs, divisions, and systems through test methods aimed at (1) identification of defects, gaps, areas of risk, (2) measurement of the adequacy of the output, and (3) assessment of the reliability of the operations. 2. Prepare recommendations to mitigate risk and close gaps and improve overall effectiveness or efficiency. 3. Support the implementation of new processes, programs, and systems and national coordination efforts. 4. Support implementation of quality management to enable the establishment of ISO 9000 certified processes. 5. Improve decision-making through implementation of business intelligence with FPS 6. Support the identification and collection of key performance indicators to monitor routinely for operational effectiveness 7. Drive efficiencies and process changes to address information developed from performance indicators and operational data 8. Review data currently available to FPS and the frequency and means of collection 9. Recommend and support implementation of new collection methodologies expanding and consolidating data requirements and analysis capabilities 10. Prepare reports (briefings, white papers, decision papers, and memoranda) on business process improvements and activities as needed to ensure the appropriate integration into FPS operations 11. Research and analyze data quality and make actionable recommendations to improve 12. Identifies systemic problems, develops and recommends corrective actions, and monitors progress of correction, requiring involvement of other Assistant Director of Field Operations and or Business Operations Manager. 13. Creates standard and ad-hoc statistical and graphical reports using databases and reporting tools for FPS and external organizations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: Two (2) to four (4) years related experience with the following: Power BI Data analytics PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) + years as a data analyst Power BI certification greatly preferred EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree CLEARANCE LEVEL: Employment contingent upon DHS suitability clearance WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-site only, business casual
