Jr Data Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Jr Data Analyst to join the data science team of one of our large oil and gas clients in the Houston area. This person must be local to Houston and willing to go onsite 5 days per week.

They will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs for data analysis and reporting. Communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources. Use statistical methods and analytical tools to develop workflows, dashboards, reports, and models. Create custom reports and dashboards with tools like Power BI/Spotfire to inform decision-making. Recommend improvements to data collection and analysis processes to enhance quality and accuracy. Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems within Operation and Maintenance Teams. Implement best practices in data management to maintain data quality, integrity, and security. Troubleshoot basic software issues for users (SAP, ProCount, Integrated Operations Platform).

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour based on experience

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics

1+ year of experience with querying and extracting data in SQL

1+ year of experience in data cleansing and analysis with Python

Knowledge and understanding of PowerBI or Spotfire (visualization)

Basic software troubleshooting skills Previous internship at an oil and gas company null
