What we are looking for:
M-B is currently hiring a Jr. CAD Operator to be based out of our office in Buford, Georgia. The candidate who fills this position will lead the CAD effort utilizing MicroStation CAD/ProjectWise/OpenRoads software and AGI software to prepare 2D and 3D construction drawings from redline sketches, 2D/3D layouts, existing drawings and electronic images. Drawing details include all views and dimensions necessary for clear and accurate presentation. You will apply knowledge of design practices and interact with Engineers to solve design issues.
How you'll make an impact as a Jr. CAD Operator:
- Implementing and maintaining CAD standards for the company
- Working alongside Junior and Senior CAD Technicians and follow established CAD standards
- General QA/QC of CAD work performed by CAD Staff
- Set up and manage Microstation workspace for projects
- Work with other CAD Staff on redline drafting
- Efficient and accurate drafting with adherence to CAD standards
- Coordinate drawing files and electronic transmittals with Clients
- Electronic Project File Management
- Project Design (within skill set and direction of Project Manager or Project Engineer)
- Personal Continuing Education
What it takes to be successful as a Jr. CAD Operator:
- Associate Degree in Technical Drafting (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 years' experience in field
- Minimum 1 years' experience working with MicroStation CAD/project file management software
- Experience and competence on design software such as Geopak and/or OpenRoads
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Some knowledge of general engineering practices and methods

- Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
