The National Pork Board is seeking a Jr. Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance, this position would be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable and financial records. This position is a great entry level opportunity to learn about the checkoff process and make an immediate and valuable contribution to the organization.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintains financial records and ensures that revenue transactions are properly collected and recorded.
- Assist in revenue recognition, invoicing, and expense reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, financial reconciliation, and audit.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Proven ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office. Salesforce financial system experience a plus.
- No travel is expected.
- Typical office environment. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is necessary. The ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time is essential.
This position is located at our home office in Clive, IA. Employees may work a hybrid schedule once hired.
The starting pay range for this role is $24.00/hour to $29.00/hour which annualized to $50,000-$60,000 but based on experience and skills. The job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
