The ideal candidate will have a background in heavy equipment and truck repair and maintenance. Will be able to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles. The candidate will have experience working with hydraulics, electrical, diesel/gas engine vehicles and welding skills. The successful candidate will be able to identify mechanical problems, explain them to customers, and provide cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will current hold a CDL A license or be willing to obtain. The Mechanic must also be able to work independently and efficiently to meet customer deadlines. Responsibilities: Uses company provided diagnostic software to Test, inspect, and determine causes of malfunctions. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspection. Repair brakes and steering systems. Repair, replace or overhaul engines and engine components Explain repair options to operations. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
