AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Cyber Defense Monitoring: Monitoring network and system activity to detect and respond to potential cyber threats and incidents.
- Incident Response: Participating in the response to cybersecurity incidents, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Threat Analysis: Analyzing threat intelligence to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigations.
- Security Operations: Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), including the use of security tools and platforms.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI
Required Qualifications: - Cybersecurity Tools: Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection platforms .
- Network Security: Understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Incident Handling: Skills in incident handling and response, including forensic analysis and malware analysis.
- Threat Intelligence: Ability to analyze threat intelligence data and apply it to improve the organization's security posture.
Additional Responsibilities: - Experience Level: A journeyman-level position typically requires several years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) would be beneficial.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and defensive cyber operations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security threats and incidents.
Desired Qualifications: - Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
- Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
