Joint Target Intelligence Analyst Job Overview: The Joint Target Intelligence Analyst supports joint targeting processes, producing intelligence assessments and recommendations for lethal and non-lethal engagements. This role involves target systems analysis, target nominations, database management, collateral damage estimation, and combat assessments. Analysts provide critical intelligence to support both deliberate and dynamic targeting efforts, aligning activities with strategic and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct target systems analysis and develop detailed intelligence assessments for joint lethal/non-lethal engagements.
Create and maintain accurate target nominations and intelligence database records.
Perform collateral damage estimation and manage target lists, prioritizing targets to meet operational and strategic objectives.
Produce comprehensive Battle Damage Assessments (BDA) and analytic damage estimates.
Provide joint targeting intelligence (JTI) support, adhering to guidelines established in JP 3-60, CJCSI 3121, 3122, 3160, 3162, and 3370.
Assist in dynamic targeting operations and target enterprise management, including training, automation, standardization, and readiness activities.
Support long-range planning by drafting targeting-related material for plans and operational orders.
Coordinate targeting efforts across US Cyber Command (USCC), Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, Military Targeting Committee, and the Intelligence Community.
Recommend updates and inputs for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff manuals/instructions and Combatant Command policies.
Develop and deliver targeted training and on-the-job training (OJT) sessions as required.
Submit and manage intelligence production requirements, Requests for Information (RFIs), and intelligence report evaluations.
Produce detailed target intelligence materials, including Electronic Target Folders (ETFs), target graphics, and Target System Analysis (TSA).
Utilize intelligence tools such as Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), National Production Workshop (NPW), and Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT).
Edit and refine JTI products for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert during exercises, planning sessions, joint targeting meetings, working groups, and coordination boards.
Provide direct intelligence support and consultation to USCC J2, J3, J5, and Component leadership. Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in all-source intelligence analysis and target systems analysis.
Familiarity with collateral damage estimation and combat assessment methodologies.
Proficiency in intelligence database systems (MIDB, NPW, JTT).
Knowledge of joint targeting procedures and associated Joint Publications and CJCS Instructions.
Strong ability to produce and edit technical intelligence documentation.
Excellent coordination, communication, and briefing skills.
Capacity to conduct training and mentorship of team members. This role requires effective collaboration across multiple levels of command and comprehensive knowledge of joint targeting intelligence processes and systems.
