Position Summary:

As a Tier III O&M Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our architecture team, providing tiered support for Network Operations Centers (NOC), and ensuring optimal performance of our customer's intra- and inter-net and other data communications systems. Your expertise will be vital in evaluating new network technologies, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting complex network issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise network support and client server specialists, and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
  • Evaluate new network technologies and recommend integration strategies to the network architecture team.
  • Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of LAN and WAN networks.
  • Administer networks, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations.
  • Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems, maintaining logs and records.
  • Prepare troubleshooting procedures to restore network performance.
  • Provide fault management and support performance management functions.
  • Respond, isolate, and resolve network troubles, monitoring alarms and alerts.
  • Analyze network characteristics and recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to network components.
  • Troubleshoot complex networks utilizing technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIRP, HSRP, VRRP, Port Security, SATOP, Psuedowire, VPLS, and EVC.
Education & Experience:
  • 16 years of hands-on experience, which can be a combination of work history and education.
  • Meet IAT Level 2 certification requirements.
  • CCNA or CCNP, JNCIS or JNCIP certifications preferred.
  • Service Provider Experience preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate and 8 years of experience OR Masters and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, Associates and 14 years, or HS and 16 years.
