Position OverviewAssistant Professor Melissa Greene-Blye is looking for a highly-motivated graduate student interested in assisting with the design and development of programming to be offered through the Center for Indigenous Student Media. The student, dependent on their skillset, is expected to assist with training students in field and studio production, including developing content suitable for a weekly news and information program, as well as assist in the design and development of workshop opportunities designed at creating training opportunities for these same purposes. Additionally, the student will assist in course design and development for a proposed certificate in Indigenous Media as well as help develop protocols and plans to improve coverage of live events. Specific responsibilities will depend upon the interests and relevant experience of the student.Job Description100% - Research support. Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as evidenced in application materials.
- Availability for weekly check in meetings (virtual or in person).
- Expressed interest in Indigenous representation in media.

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are
not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
