Title: Jira Administrator (Cloud Migration Specialist)
Location: Jersey City, NJ, Tampa, FL and Dallas, TX (Hybrid Day1 onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months contract


Job Description-
We are seeking a skilled Jira Administrator with expertise in Cloud migration to manage, configure, and optimize our Jira ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless migration from on-premise/Data Center to Atlassian Cloud while maintaining system stability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Jira Administration: Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permission schemes, notifications, and custom fields.
Cloud Migration: Lead or support the migration of Jira (and other Atlassian products) from Server/Data Center to Cloud.
User Management: Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
Customization & Automation: Develop Jira automation rules, scripts (using Groovy, REST APIs), and integrations with third-party tools.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring optimal system uptime and responsiveness.
Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements during migration and system maintenance.
Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users and project teams on Jira best practices.
Integration Management: Work with other teams to integrate Jira with CI/CD tools, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other enterprise systems.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and migration processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator in a professional environment.
Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud migration (Server/Data Center to Cloud).
Proficiency in Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and Bitbucket administration.
Experience with Atlassian Access, Cloud Migration Assistant, and Site Import/Export methods.
Strong understanding of Jira automation, REST APIs, and scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python, or JavaScript).
Knowledge of ITSM, Agile, and DevOps best practices.
Familiarity with marketplace add-ons such as ScriptRunner, Xray, and Advanced Roadmaps.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Atlassian Certifications (ACP-120, ACP-100, or ACP-620).
Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of Data Residency and GDPR compliance in Atlassian Cloud.
Experience in enterprise-scale migrations and Jira performance tuning.
