Position Description

Serco is seeking an SCA Media Specialist 2 to support our team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington. The selected candidate will serve as the on-site audio/visual (A/V) technician for the Mission Training Complex (MTC), ensuring the successful setup, operation, and troubleshooting of video production and teleconference systems in support of military training operations.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide media services support, including the operation and maintenance of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems and streaming video technologies.
  • Manage A/V resources for training activities, including After Action Reviews (AAR) and Warfighter Exercises (WFX).
  • Set up AAR sites and perform technical rehearsals of all related equipment prior to events.
  • Troubleshoot and support Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom systems, and streaming appliances for mid- and post-exercise reviews.
  • Deliver video and image content to the government for use in MAARs and FAARs.
  • Support the Command Information Center (CIC) during WFX operations.
  • Handle customer support inquiries via email, phone, and monitoring tools for VTC endpoints and integrated A/V systems.
  • Stay current with Army and Joint regulations relevant to this position.
Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's degree in A/V or Media Technology with at least 3 years of experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in A/V or Media Technology with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work on-site at JBLM.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail in setting up and managing multimedia systems.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with military and technical personnel.
Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting videoconferencing and A/V systems.
  • Formal VTC training certification.
  • Familiarity with Cisco WebEx Code Plus.
