Java Technical Lead ( Onsite)

Location: Plano Texas (Onsite)

Role and Responsibilities:

Participate in Scrum Calls

Analyze existing customer applications.

Prepare High level technical understanding document detailing the functionalities along with interface specifications.

Write clean, testable code using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices AWS

Identify technical issues with the existing code and propose suitable fixes

Upgrade existing code (Review and Refactor)

Analyze performance issues in the existing stored procedures and identify fixes

Perform POCs to validate solution, design services, components and architecture considerations.

Qualifications:

Work experience as a Java Tech Lead

In-depth knowledge of the Java, Spring Boot, Mircoservices and application deployment in AWS EC2 servers

Proficiency in building web-based applications

Produce code using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices; configuring, upgrading and debugging current systems.

Participating in requirement analysis, producing software design and architecture using Java technologies, writing clean, scalable code, testing, and deploying systems and applications, improving existing software, developing documentation all through the SDLC process, providing technical assistance to other developers

Working in Agile development model and participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, PI Planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a lead role, review code, review design, write, and test the new code.

Good experience handling multiple POD teams, doing code reviews, and setting up coding standards.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 4/15/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $87k - $140k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
