The Expertise You Have - Full-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of cloud native API technologies and test automation frameworks
- Expert-level knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promoting proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security, testable and maintainable software.
- A mindset of test-first development and a deep expertise in creating mocked unit and environment-agnostic integration tests, as well as experienced in modern test and mock frameworks and service virtualization tools. We believe in testing and that quality is everyone's job.
- Extensive experience with DevOps CI/CD practices, TDD, automated security and quality testing, modern test and mock frameworks and service virtualization tools to rapidly deliver, measure, and iterate features to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
- Support the team in designing reliable, portable, accurate and trustworthy tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
- Active participation in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
- Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health
- Experience in mentoring and guiding software engineers in an agile environment
- Ownership of the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
The Skills You Bring - A Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience with designing and building cloud native REST APIs and enabling teams with designing and developing automation harnesses using Karate, RESTAssured and other modern Java API test automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with creating and using Test Doubles and Virtual Assets
- Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
