JOB SUMMARY We are currently seeking an experienced
Java HL7 Developer who will join our healthcare integration team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and IEEE 11073, with specific experience implementing ORU R01 message types. This role is critical for developing and maintaining our healthcare data exchange systems, ensuring seamless integration with various clinical systems and medical devices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based healthcare integration solutions using HL7 v2.x and FHIR standards
- Implement and customize ORU R01 message processing for lab and diagnostic results transmission
- Create robust data transformation mapping between different healthcare message formats
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues across disparate healthcare systems
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure data workflows meet healthcare provider requirements
- Optimize message processing for high-volume healthcare data exchange
- Document integration specifications and provide technical guidance to team members

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, data analytics or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Java development with a focus on healthcare integration
- Extensive experience with HL7 v2.x messaging, particularly ORU R01 (Observation Results)
- Proficiency with HAPI HL7 library for Java
- Experience implementing FHIR-based API solutions
- Knowledge of IEEE 11073 standards for medical device communication
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical data requirements
- Solid understanding of XML, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
