Job Description: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

PROJECT DETAILS
This contractor will be acting as a Java developer contributing to the build out/ maintenance of new and existing applications for the securities lending desk. This will be a hands-on developer role focused on writing code and contributing to Java modules and interacting with senior team members, product owners, and securities desk as need.

TOP SKILLS

1. Advanced Java Development Skills
- Java development mastery in core java concepts including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and exception handling
- Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns in java to create modular and reusable code
- Proficient in java frameworks such as Spring, Hybernate and in building robust applications using these framework

2. Databases
- Good understanding of database concepts and capable of writing efficient and complex queries, and optimizing database performance

3. Messaging/ other technology
- Familiarity with messaging technologies like JMS, Solace and TIBCO
- Experience in testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG and Cucumber for writing unit tests and ensuring code quality
- Good working experience with CICD, EPL, GIT

4. Agile methodology

SOFT SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, teamwork and time management skills for effective collaboration with team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Capital markets
- Sense of urgency when building
- Ability to communicate with securities desk
- Ability to understand finance/ securities platform
- Prime brokerage is a plus

INTERVIEW

ROUND 1- 1on1 video interview with Hiring manager then a 1-hour panel interview (80 minutes total)
ROUND 2- In-person interview onsite - w/ Hackerank skills test for java assessment - (2 hours)
