Java Development Manager Role

A market-leading professional services organization with a technical hub near Birmingham is seeking a Java Development Manager with recent hands-on Java development, microservices architecture, and team leadership experience for a hybrid work arrangement.

In this role, you'll work at the forefront of AI-driven financial technology, leading a team to create bespoke, modular applications within a cloud-hosted microservices architecture. The solutions developed will be robust, highly scalable, and used by millions daily.

Key Skills Required
  • At least 4 years of recent Java experience
  • Extensive team leadership capabilities, ideally leading teams of 5 or more
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Strong framework exposure (Spring, Hibernate, etc.)
  • RDBMS experience (NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Awareness of cloud technologies
