Akkodis is seeking a
Java Developer for a
Contract job with a client in
McLean, VA(Hybrid) . Responsible for designing and developing cloud-native, serverless applications and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Developer job responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using Core Java and AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and S3.
- Develop microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and AWS API Gateway.
- Build and maintain serverless architectures leveraging AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and security best practices using AWS CloudFormation, IAM, and KMS.
- Perform L3 support and ensure reliability and performance of Java-based systems.
- Work with MongoDB for data management and storage in application development.
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development with at least 2 years working on AWS-based cloud applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
- Proven expertise in developing microservices using Core Java and working with databases such as MongoDB.
