Title: Java Developer (Contract)- JobLocation: Springfield, MA area/ Hybrid Remote preferably
Job Description: Our client located in the Springfield, MA area has an immediate opening for a Java Developer to join their team. The Java Developer will work as an AWS DevOps engineer in the infrastructure department.
Responsibilities - Manage an enterprise multi-region AWS deployment utilizing Terraform and GitOps.
- Apply strong proficiency in Java coding to tasks
- Utilize experience with Spring Boot
- Work with Maven build configuration, view, edit, and execution
- Use JUnit testing and code coverage reporting
- Experience with the latest JDK versions (e.g., JDK 17 and 21)
- Proficiency in working with Maven repositories for plugins and dependencies
- Will work with IntelliJ IDEA with various plugins and features
- Experience with Git integration for repository management
- Ability to work with multiple projects with separate Maven builds
- JIRA scrum board for task management
Required - Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with AWS
- Familiarity with Terraform
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Knowledge of Playwright
- Resilience under pressure
- Comfortable using JIRA to manage work
- Familiarity with React
- Database skills including PostgreSQL and Oracle
